Tuscan ColumnsThe quintessential Tuscan column is actually a version of the Greek Doric column. The Tuscan, one of the last defined Classical columns, was a simplified version of the Doric, continued by Roman architects and further enhanced with astragal ring and a simplified base. This column style was a versatile addition to many spaces in ancient times, and today, it maintains its appeal. |
| The Tuscan column works well throughout any residential or commercial space. It is a flexible choice that will brighten any room with character and traditional style. We offer the Tuscan column crafted with age-old principles of architectural beauty. Tuscan columns can be tapered, crafted with entasis and manufactured to the height of seven total shaft circumferences; principles that have long been employed to produce the most visually pleasing column. | |

Greek Doric ColumnsThe absence of a base and a simply versatile form are the defining characteristics of the Greek Doric Column. In terms of traditional architectural proportions, the Greek Doric Column also features a height of five and one-half shaft diameters. The oldest of Greek columns, the Doric is found in many ancient Mediterranean structures, perhaps the most famous being the Greek Parthenon. |
| Today, the Greek Doric is an excellent addition to building exteriors and interiors. Features such as traditional fluting add texture and detail to this column. We are glad to provide this column with and without tapering for an ideal appearance. | |

Roman Doric ColumnsIncreased decorative details make the Roman Doric Column an enhancement of the simplified Tuscan. The Roman Doric column features an elegantly detailed cap and base. It also sets itself apart with a height equaling eight shaft diameters. The end result is a simply elegant column with a graceful and elongated appearance. |
| You will find example of the Roman Doric Column in Rome at the massive Theater of Marcellus. Today, the Roman Doric Column is an excellent choice for many projects, be they interior or exterior. Fluting and tapering options add increased detail to this already richly crafted column. | |

Roman Ionic ColumnsThe Roman Ionic Column is perhaps the most unique. It is the only classical column to break free of a canonic, or cylindrical capitol. The Ionic column's capitol is its crowning glory and what sets it apart from the rest. It features a flattened scroll with curling ends or volutes. |
| The Roman Ionic Column conjures images of bold and stately buildings, of institutions and meeting places where decisions are made and formal ways adhered to. Today, the Roman Ionic Column enhances with an air of sobriety and elegance. It is a superb and defining addition to exterior entranceways, and much more. The traditional number of 24 flutes and a lengthy height of eight shaft diameters gives the Roman Ionic Column a graceful and detailed appearance. | |

Roman Corinthian ColumnsOf all the Classical columns, the Roman Corinthian has the most festive and natural appearance. The original Greek Corinthian is the last of the Greek columns, and features a bell-shaped capitol adorned with lush acanthus leaves and accented by small and stylized Ionic flutes. |
| The Roman Corinthian Column includes enhanced details. Like the Ionic column, the Corinthian traditionally features 24 flutes. A height of 10 shaft circumferences gives the Corinthian a tall and slender form.Examples of the Corinthian column can be found at the Pantheon in Rome. Today, this wonderfully detailed column is a true focal point, and adds character to any room. | |
